Finally finished the rest. I provided links for each section so those that were kind enough to visit earlier won't have to wade through the first half again. (New in green.):

If you ever get a chance to do this repositioner, do it! Including flights we travelled 14,500 miles and saw places we never thought we'd see. I hauled cameras, lenses, 40+ GB of memory and a laptop all that way and would do it again in a heartbeat (the hauling, maybe not the same trip)

Enjoy!

Hey Dave,

Enjoyed the pictures! And Captions! Looks like you had a great trip, lots of rain - but some beautiful skies too!

I've been thinking about going to pbase for sharing photos...your site is really easy to get around and I like the variety that is there too!

Thanks!

Dave,

I LOVE your work!! And I've learned so much from you, so far.

My question has to do with your use of wide angle (10-11 mm) especially of you "food shots".

What are you using to eliminate the distortion?

I'm in the process of learning more in preparation of our Alaska cruise and independent trip in August. Three weeks total.

I have my first DSLR, Nikon D80 with the 18-200 zoom lense.

Thanks for your help and sharing your GREAT shots!!

Bill

Thanks for the kind words!

Eliminating the distortion has a lot to do with how you treat straight lines in composition by keeping the camera level, etc. The easy part is that the Sony 11-18 control distortion very well.

Enjoy your Alaska trip. It is a very photogenic state!:)

PBase has been very good for me for years now. It's $23/year, but the ability to customize and ease of use is worth it.

Dave,

Beautiful!! Brings back so many memories. I may just chuck my photos and steal yours :) Thanks for sharing and for getting yours up while I'm still organizing mine.

I'll send you a copy of the Slide show when I get it done, but keep your photos! Wou worked hard for them!

(Besides, your photos from the first leg are way better than mine!)

Hi Pierces,

Just had a look at your photos from Auckland to Hawaii. Such wonderful shots of a wonderful part of the world, just beautiful.

We did the cruise from Ensenada to Sydney in Nov/Dec and have many similar shots but you are definitely more creative than I'll ever be as a photographer;)

It's lovely to see anyones photos but even more special when you've been to the places and can imagine the moment.

Thanks so much for sharing them.
