bktx1 Posted April 1, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 1, 2008 I am leaving from Galveston. I am very willing to pay, but I need close in handicapped parking. My wife is essentially a quad, and there is a lot of stuff to carry. The closer we are, the easier it will be for us to get all of her stuff up to the ship. jfjudge Posted April 6, 2008 #2 Share Posted April 6, 2008 If you use EZ cruise parking they will take your wife on their shuttle with a w/c lift and all of your luggage to the terminal. If you prepay they charge $50 for the week if you book online. My husband is in a wheelchair and will have his power chair and manual wheelchair and all our bags. They told me they could accommodate us. Are you driving in Sunday morning or staying in Galveston. Moody Gardens has a shuttle with a w/c lift and they let you park your car there for the week free if you stay with them on Saturday night. We used them once before and they were great. bktx1 Posted April 25, 2008 Author #4 Share Posted April 25, 2008 My wife and I are cruising on Voyagerin Jan. 2009. We are driving down from Dallas. She is severely disabled. Are there handicapped spaces close to the ship? I have to carry for two, plus a lift to get her in and out of bed. I know that a lot of folks on board will be Texans, so I can count on them to help me out, but it sure would help if I don't half to walk half a mile with all this stuff. We are celebrating our 25th anniversary. thanks in advance.
