Danno Posted April 1, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 1, 2004 "in all the gin joints", and cruises I have been on I have never enjoyed a cruise band more than I did Phase 5...I know the cruise lines don't (can't) release who their band will be on a given cruise, but I think I would seriously consider booking a cruise if this band were onboard!!! The shame was, the smoke (and the odd loud drunk) drove us from the venue before mid-night so our time to enjoy them was somewhat limited. Hopefully when cruise ships do a better job with smoke, our paths will cross again. ecowen Posted April 1, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 1, 2004 I completely agree with you, Dan. Phase 5 was the band on Galaxy last week, and they were by far the best party band I've ever seen on Celebrity. Unlike the other bands, they actually seemed to enjoy what they were doing. And they performed a much wider range of songs and styles. I mentioned this in my comment card. Hopefully Celebrity will take notice and find more bands like them for the other ships. Danno Posted April 1, 2004 Author #3 Share Posted April 1, 2004 Alas...not even they could make "Spanish Eyes" be more than well performed dreck. But when they did anything by the Rightous Bros., wow!! Dan Century X1,Galaxy X2,HorizonX5,VolendamX1, Century Feb/
garykool81 Posted April 1, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 1, 2004 I also was onboard the same sailing as Ed, and found Phase 5 to be a fantastic cover band. I also agree they were the best "ship band" that I've seen!
