Did Carnival Freedom change Cannes to Monte Carlo?

Recommended Posts

From Johns Blog: "It seems that we have an itinerary change for the Carnival Splendor’s 8 day cruise to Dover. We will be docking in Monte Carlo/Monaco now instead of tendering into Cannes."

No mention was made of any other dates.

Yes, it is official. It never did make sense to me for a new cruise ship, on the first port of call, to tender.

But they will still offer some of the same shore excursions to outlying areas.

Small cruise ships have been able to dock at Monte Carlo and larger ones tender, but they are expanding the port including a new cruise ship pier.

I think some of this may be artist enhanced:

Yes. I received an email this morning from Carnival. It states the change is for Carnival Freedom cruises departing as follows:

2008: 8/26, 9/7, 10/1, 10/13

2009: 6/26, 7/20, 8/1, 9/6, 10/12, 10/24

It also says, "We know you will enjoy debarking the ship at the new dock in Monaco".

We will now be docked at every port. No tendering! Yeah!!!
