Jacks Minder Posted April 3, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 3, 2008 We are sailing on the Balmoral 22 May to 22 June disembarking in Dover. As we are Aussies and unfamiliar with the port, could we have some advice as to the most practical way to get to London. We see that there is National Express and the Rail but unsure what would be best and easiest to get to with luggage. We intend booking before we leave so any advice will be most helpful. MrsTW Posted April 4, 2008 #2 Share Posted April 4, 2008 I hope this may be of some help! There is a complimentary shuttle bus that takes you to the railway station...Dover Priory, from there there is a regular service to London Victoria or London Charing Cross.....journey times between 1 and a half and 1 three quarter hours. Cost approx £17. There is a regular bus service (National Express) from Dover Centre to London Victoria Coach station ...journey time 2 and a half hours cost £13. You should also find that one of these buses actually comes to the Cruise Terminal an early morning one! 9am? The train is probably a better option.....quicker, shuttle bus to the station etc but obviously the final choice is yours! ;)
