Coqui2007 Posted April 5, 2008 #2 Share Posted April 5, 2008 Have you spent any time in San Juan before? If not, you can easily spend the day, taking in the sights, sounds and tastes of Old San Juan. There are 2 excellent forts, a cathedral, several picturesque squares, a really nice promenade, the Paseo la Princessa, several small museums, small shops and if it's a weekend, there will be plenty of local artisans with stalls etc. You could also rent a car and head off to El Yunque rainforest - get there early to avoid the crowds and get a decent parking, then hike one or more of the trails - head over to Luquillo beach for the afternoon and check out the local food at the roadside kiosks. If you are still feeling adventurous, you could also add on a bio-bay tour - either do the Fajardo bay tour or take a catermeran trip over to the Vieques bio-bay. If you did the bio-bay that would be a very full day. More ideas and info on my blog http://www.visit-the-coqui.com
rainforestgirl Posted April 5, 2008 #3 Share Posted April 5, 2008 What do you like to do? What day will it be? There are lots of things, but for most you would need to rent a car or a driver. Adventure- ATV rides, Zip lining, and some all day cave adventures. Nature- Hiking, biking, snorkeling, private island trip, Las Cabezas Nature tour, Botanical gardens. Music/local food on Sundays- Gauvate for pig roast, or Pinones There is so much you can do-Check my trip idea blog http://www.puertoricodaytrips.com
