NoleWoman Posted April 7, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 7, 2008 Just wondering if any of you who have used a private car/limo service to take you from the hotel or airport to the pier had them stop at a grocery store to get soda/water before getting on the ship? Do they charge extra for that? Like in Disney, a lot of the car services include a half hour grocery stop on the way to your hotel. We are flying in and I really don't want to bring a case of water and a 12 pack of Mt. Dew in my checked bag all the way from NJ, it would probably put me over the weight limit. But we are most likely not renting a car and instead staying in a hotel outside IAH and using a limo to/from the pier, and it doesn't look like there are any stores in walking distance from the hotel. I figure if I can have the limo stop, I can pack a duffel to throw the stuff in.
GORDONCHICK Posted April 29, 2008 #2 Share Posted April 29, 2008 They will go where you want them to, but it's like a taxi- you will pay for them to wait, usually.
txmd2b Posted April 30, 2008 #3 Share Posted April 30, 2008 When making your reservation I would negotiate a stop in there or talk to the driver. The times I used a car service I just spoke directly to the driver and they were very helpful.
