Yes there are penny slots, but I don't remember putting actual pennies in. I think it was just bills. (Lots of 'em!)

Can you actually put pennies in the machine or did it have to be bills

I have never seen any penny machines that take the actual penny. Just paper money.

If they are already rolled just take them to the bank to cash them in. Don't let coinstar take a percentage of your money.
