Hair Braiding?

Anyone been to Barbados lately and know of a good place for hair braiding? Where and how much?

My daughter had it done on Accra beach last August. They wanted $3.00 Bds per braid. She landed up paying $2.00 bds per braid. Thats = to $1.00 U.S . They put three beads of your color choice on each braid. There are decent women on Most beaches that will come up and offer to braid hair.

I got mine done at the Boat Yard. I paid $30 for the whole thing, which probably was too much, but the woman was great. I had gotten my hair braided in the Bahamas and totally got ripped off, so I felt like a real haggler getting that price from her. LOL. I will warn you, my hair has so much breakage now b/c of it, though!! She braided just the crown of my head, like a headband, I guess. I took out the "sideburn" area before going back to work this week, and I had two huge clumps of hair in the drain after my shower! Can't wait to see what it's going to look like when I take the rest out!!

i just had it done by pam at the boatyard. she did half my head for $20 (its still in and she did it last wednesday

Please remind me...........the boatyard your speaking of is in Barbado's or Antigua?

the boatyard is in barbados, next to lobsters alive. its a $5 cab ride per person from the cruise ship.
