Splendour for wedding??

Considering our wedding on this ship. We have been on the Voyager class and will go on Radiance class in May.

 

Does the Splendour compare? Any recent photos? Has anyone seen where they have held recent weddings?

 

Will they allow us to hold it at Crystal Canopy pool area?

 

Any thoughts from past passengers, TA, etc. highly appreciated. Trying to accomodate lots of family and wanted for it to be local and affordable. Splendour seems to offer just this at time frame we want...

Hi, LovEcruiseS - My husband and I were on Splendour in November, 2000 and got married during the cruise. We wanted to get married aboard ship but there weren't anymore available times, plus we would have had to get married in Miami before departing. We got married in Ocho Rios, Jamaica through this company called Weddings In Jamaica. Go to weddingsinjamaica.com and they have everything there for you to view. It was very reasonable and they took care of everything (from the minister to the flowers, cake, and champagne). I highly recommend them,if you are going to Jamaica (they don't just have them in Ocho Rios). They pick you up at the pier then bring you back to the ship after ther ceremony. The company is actually located in Florida.

We loved Splendour and she is really our favorite ship, so far (we have been on 4 RCI cruises and 1 Celebrity).

Thanks so much. We are looking pretty far out, so hoping would have ship on wedding- day of departure. We have quite a few family members that would not be able to travel- just join us for ceremony.

 

Besides- shorter 6 day cruise out of Tampa and not going to Jamaica- bummer Did love Jamaica scenery last time there.
