Rental car and day exploring on own?

Has anyone rented a car and spent a day exploring on your own on Grand Cayman? We've done this on other islands and it worked out great.

 

Any advice would be appreciated. If you've done this, who did you rent from? Do you have recommendations on places that should not be missed? What about things to avoid?

I think renting a car and driving around the island is a wonderful way to spend the day. Cayman is safe enough to go wherever you want on your own. :)
