Has anyone stayed here, if so, is there shopping nearby to buy wine before the cruise?

We stayed there on April 5th, the night before our cruise. Across the street there is a KMart, Old Navy, Big Lots, McDonalds and other stores. If you are a BJs member, there is a warehouse club in the shopping complex as well. There is a liquor store inside of the BJs club. It looked like you could go in even if you are not a BJs member. We are not BJs members, so we did not try. There is also a great diner just down from the KMart. We ate there for dinner and breakfast. I believe it is called the Moonlight Diner.

 

FYI - When we booked the hotel, it said they provided free shuttle from the airport to hotel and hotel to Port Everglades. After we checked in, they told us it would be $8 per person for transport to Port Everglades. A separate company provided the transport. We ended up taking a taxi because this company wasn't going to take us to the port until 1:30pm. We wanted to be there earlier, so we cancelled our plans and took a taxi instead. It cost us about $20 for the taxi.
