Carnival Destiny - Cash from ATM?

My wife and I are sailing on the Destiny on April 27. Really looking forward to it.

 

After my last cruise (on RC), I heard about a neat trick to get cash on board: use the ATM in the casino against your SeaPass card, and you can get a certain amount of cash daily. That amount gets added to your account, and will get charged to the credit card associated with your SeaPass as a purchase when you settle up at the end.

 

Question is, is that an RC thing, or can I do the same thing on the Carnival Destiny? Can I get cash on my ship account?

I really liked that feature on RCCL. But no, on Carnival they charge you a fee. Three percent of the transaction I believe. If you use the ATM machine they charge 6 dollars. Just got off the Elation so I know the amount on that one.

They don't have an ATM in the casino (just in the general area) - but you can post the amount against your account by taking a credit in the casino - with a fee of 3% (as stated above). They will give you chips and then you can either play a little or come back later and cash out.
