djo631 Posted April 15, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 15, 2008 Sorry if this has been answered already, but.......... We dont leave Tampa until about 5pm after our cruise. What is there to do in Tampa after the cruise? We would love to do the aquarium, but what do we do with our bags while we look around? Does the aquarium have a place to hold the bags? We could do the luggage express, but we would still have 2 carry-ons to deal with. Help............. Mark
jessandpaul Posted April 16, 2008 #2 Share Posted April 16, 2008 Mark - we are in the same situation. I think that the aquarium and the port (perhaps Carnival?)will hold your bags for a fee. Also, depending on which airline you are on and if you are cruising Carnival, you may be able to take advantage of the Baggage Express program where Carnival brings your bags right to the airport for you. I'm sure that other lines have somegthing similar,
jessandpaul Posted April 16, 2008 #3 Share Posted April 16, 2008 OOps I see that you are cruising Carnival and you already know about the Bag Express. Good luck!
KreinKrunker Posted April 16, 2008 #4 Share Posted April 16, 2008 Does the aquarium have a place to hold the bags? We could do the luggage express, but we would still have 2 carry-ons to deal with. The aquarium does have a place to store luggage, there is also a place at the terminal. I would use luggage express, go to the aquarium, and store the carry ons there. When done there, I would take the street car to Ybor City, and have a late lunch at the Columbia. If there was time left, which I doubt, I would return to Channelside. http://www.flaquarium.org/ http://www.tecolinestreetcar.org/about/maps/index.htm http://www.columbiarestaurant.com/ybor.asp http://www.channelsidetampa.com/
djo631 Posted April 16, 2008 Author #5 Share Posted April 16, 2008 Thanks for the thoughts KreinKrunker. Any idea how hard/easy it would be to get a taxi at the aquarium?? Mark
KreinKrunker Posted April 17, 2008 #6 Share Posted April 17, 2008 Any idea how hard/easy it would be to get a taxi at the aquarium?? The last time we were there, we called a cab, and I don't think it took much more than 10 minutes. Depending upon the time you are headed to the airport, there may still be cabs dropping people off, to board the next cruise.
