savannah2117 Posted April 17, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 17, 2008 Just wondering about the size of the tours. I realize it probably varys from day to day. I thought I read somewhere about someone rushing off the boat and then sitting on the bus, waiting for everyone else to show up. Is there anyway to find out how many are going? EBallgrl Posted April 17, 2008 #2 Share Posted April 17, 2008 When we went last May we were on a big bus - like a greyhound - it was full and I am thinking there were 2 busses, not sure about that but i do remember some people got off the ship late and they had to meet up with us at the location. It was a large tour, but they have several guides and split you into smaller groups to take you through the caves. Basically you attach to each other by putting your ankles under the armpits of the person in front of you. Make sure to shave your legs ladies! I had a very uncomfortable ride because of the lady behind me! Then your guide pulls you along in the caves by holding onto the leg of the 1st person of your group. psbtrvlr Posted April 17, 2008 #3 Share Posted April 17, 2008 Our group was 9 - we were all together. However, the busses take more groups. I don't remember how many were on ours. Maybe 3 - I think one group was kind of large. We didn't wait anywhere. Not at the port, or the river, or the restaurant. I could see how maybe you would. You could try emailing Yhony and asking him. toledo Posted April 17, 2008 #4 Share Posted April 17, 2008 We were there the week after Easter and there were at least 8 busses at the caves with his name on them. There were about a dozen people on our bus and we waited for an hour at the cruise terminal before starting the tour to make sure no one else was coming. I was not happy.
