Tintown Posted April 21, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 21, 2008 For those of you who have already been to Rome and may have experience using either or both of these cards, can you please let us all know which you feel is the best offer and why? We have 4.5 days in Rome and are having trouble deciding which is the most economical way of seeing everything. Thanks for all input.
GSPLover Posted April 21, 2008 #2 Share Posted April 21, 2008 We were in Rome 3 days pre-cruise and found the Roma Pass met our needs just fine (we were not big museum people.) The free transport provided was worth its weight when it came to the hot, June heat. I think you need to make a list of what you want to see and what it will cost without either card. Then compare that to the cost of either card times 2 (or the number of people.) There is also available a 3, 5 or 7 day transportation card (not certain of the cost.) mountainmare Posted April 21, 2008 #3 Share Posted April 21, 2008 We used the Roma Pass also which is good for three days. If you use it for the Colosseum-Forum-Palantine and then another museum like the Borguesi (sorry about the speling and you still need to reserve) it pays for itself, not to mention having the transportation pass. I think a three day trans pass is 8 or 9euros.
Tintown Posted April 22, 2008 Author #4 Share Posted April 22, 2008 Thanks for your input. Do you know just how much of a discount you get on your 3rd plus admissions to museums? The advertising just states a "discount". Thanks.
