davidkentholt Posted April 21, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 21, 2008 My wife and I have our first cruise ever scheduled on June 1 on the Mariner of the Seas. We're ecstatic! We just discovered this site and it has destroyed our workday productivity. :-) We were wondering if any of you experts out there could tell us about whether the Budget Car Rental place in Cape Canaveral had a convienent shuttle to the port? Thanks so much!!!
pepsicruiser Posted April 21, 2008 #2 Share Posted April 21, 2008 Yes there is a Budget site in Cape Canaveral. It's only about 10 minutes from the pier if I remember correctly. We stayed at the Raddison there and it was about 2 blocks from hotel. Budget does have a shuttle to the pier.
kbt2 Posted April 21, 2008 #3 Share Posted April 21, 2008 It is very easy and convient and I believe it's closer then 10 minutes...only a few miles from port. I hear at noon it starts getting busy. But we were there around 11ish and were the only one's, so had private shuttle over and all, once we dropped off car. Our whole process from dropping car off to going to port took all of about 15 minutes. EASY! Have a super 1st cruise and welcome to the boards...I know u two will find them helpful. davidkentholt Posted April 21, 2008 Author #4 Share Posted April 21, 2008 Thanks! I'm sure we'll be there before it gets busy because we want on the ship as soon as they'll let us. Might as well get our money's worth. :-)
TxStacey Posted April 21, 2008 #5 Share Posted April 21, 2008 Hi David! welcome to our addiction!! You have no idea how "un-productive" you can become:) . Try this link on the East Coast Departure Boards.. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=436720 This thread will tell you everything you could ever imagine about Port Canaveral. It is worth hours of reading pleasure:p . We are also sailing on the Marnier this summer and can't wait...
