Train and Bike tour - Skagway

We are thinking of taking the White Pass Train and returning via the bike tour. I know its all down hill so not very hard to peddle but how hard is the incline? We will have a 13 and 17 year old with us. Is it enjoyable or too steep to really relax and enjoy the ride?

It's very steep and the shoulder of the road almost non-existent. I drive the highway often and wouldn't ride a bike there if you paid me, but some people enjoy it.

And it didn't look that great to me. Like Yukon says, it is downhill on a two lane road with cars going by. But to each his own. . .
