Lowie Posted April 24, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 24, 2008 Just an FYI if this hasn't been posted before, but we just visited great stirrup caye on the NCL Sun and i noticed that they had several beach wheelchairs right when you get off the tender boat. They have those extra wide wheels and look to be made out of PVC so they can probably go in the water. so, as long as you can get on the tender boat from the ship it is quite easy for someone who can switch chairs, or who only needs a wheelchair occasionally. the tenders ride right up onto the sand of the beach and a very wide ramp is lowered but is not a steep incline. i hope this can help someone. one bad thing is that the ramps from the ship onto the tenders were very narrow and had pieces of wood nailed to it for traction.
