scubadiver888 Posted April 25, 2008 #2 Share Posted April 25, 2008 anyone know of any online sites besides amazon to buy fins?? stuck in the midwest needing new ones..thanks, cindy I have enough good dive shops in my area that I can buy locally. So I have never purchased dive gear online. I have seen other people on http://www.scubaboard.com talking about online stores. The guys at http://www.scubatoys.com/ seem like real divers who sell stuff online. They have a retail store as well. If I was going to buy something online, this would be the place for me. There is also http://www.leisurepro.com/. They tend to have the best pricing but I have heard from other divers that the customer support is not the best. For a set of fins I might consider using them. For something more technical like a computer or regs, probably not. Finally, http://www.divebooty.com/ has a pretty good selection. I have not heard anything bad or good about them. My general impression is that they sometimes have a better price than scubatoys but not as good as leisurepro. They have better customer service then leisurepro but not as good as scubatoys.
Pilot70D Posted April 25, 2008 #3 Share Posted April 25, 2008 First, I have purchased things from both ScubaToys and LeisurePro. The proprieters of ScubaToys are both real divers. Furthermore, they have there own discussion board on their website. If you register and join their discussion board (no cost) they will give a 10% discount on purchases. I have also had dealings with the customer service departments of LiesurePro and ScubaToys. Both provided me excellent customer service. Now, here are some other on-line SCUBA businesses. http://www.marketworks.com/store/default.asp?sfo=myscuba http://www.diversdirect.com/ http://www.diversdiscount.com/
