GEM DVD Player?

I have heard that the television selection on the GEM is not very good and that renting movies is expensive. Does that mean there is a DVD player that we could play our own DVDs on? If not, is there any problem about bringing our own DVD player?

I know you're not on a cruise to watch TV or movies, but sometimes it's relaxing to just sit and veg out.

As far as I know they have DVD players only in the Suites (we had two in the penthouse suite) but not in the mini -suites and below, I have seen on this site where people have taken DVD players, the Gem has all flat screen TVs so it may be difficult to hook up depending on how the TV is attached to the wall/cabinet. Others have posted pictures so you might be able to search for pictures of the room you are in and see if there is a close up of the tv. If you have a portable just take the mini screen along just in case you can't attach to the larger TV, and don't forget your cables and selection of DVD's:D
