jhinjhin Posted April 28, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 28, 2008 We will be leaving the cruise ship in Seattle and going to the airport for a rental car - then heading up into Canada. We do not have transfers with our cruise as we booked air line on our own. What is the best way to get back to the airport? Will there be taxi's at the pier? Any idea of cost? Can you buy transportation from the cruise line? Since we are going out on our own do we have to wait until a certain time to disembark or can we get off any time. Not going to put our bags in the hall the night before
Toyz711 Posted April 28, 2008 #2 Share Posted April 28, 2008 when we went, in '06, at the airport there were people around the luggage area. yes, we could have gotten a transfer, but there's only 2 of us..taxi was cheaper and faster. the taxis are at the far end of the baggage pickup. we didn't have a line, got right into a taxi. it's a set price to pier 66...i want to say it was just over $30 for the 2 of us. yes, when you get off the ship, there is a line a taxis... we don't do self-embark, hate that hassle...too many people dragging all their luggage through the ship. i can't handle the luggage up/down stairs. we pick a color tag for the last times off the ship and wait in the cabin...after breakfast. people have said you can leave when you want, for self-disembark. i have only seen it, with everyone trying to leave early and long lines going around the ship. good luck and have a great cruise. CRUZIN TOM Posted April 28, 2008 #3 Share Posted April 28, 2008 Take your time getting off the ship. There will be many taxis for you to take to the Airport. Since you will be there on the weekend the drive will be about 20-25 minutes to the airport. Todays cost because of the fuel increase will be about 35.00. But that is the easiest way to go.:)
