Cancel the cruise before final payment?

Carnival does not charge any penalty for cancellations made before final payment. Some travel agencies do charge a fee so it will depend who you book with. If you use a TA, ask what their policy is. If they charge a fee, use someone else or book directly with Carnival.

In the event of a price drop Carnival will usually refund the difference before final payment or give you onboard credit after final payment but you must ask for it. They will not give it to you automatically.

As stated you need to talk with your TA if booked with one. Some will

try to capture a fee. Thus why one should ask questions about changes,

canceling cruises to the TA. If they do charge you for anything CCL

doesn't charge, find a new TA before you book.

But carnival will not charge you before your final payment due

date, even if you have paid in full .
