ports in Cozumel

We are looking at a cruise in October on the Glory and are wondering what port is used now. When we cruised to Cozumel a few yeara ago, I believe it was hurricane Rita that took out the port where we were. So just wondering where they dock now. Thanks.

If you click on this link you will see that the Glory was scheduled to dock at the Punta Langosta pier this week. Punta Langosta is the one in downtown San Miguel. The other two cruise ship piers are the International Pier and the Puerta Maya pier. Both are located a few miles south of San Miguel. It was the Puerta Maya pier that was destroyed by Hurricane Wilma in 2005. When we were in Cozumel in February the pier looked nearly ready to re-open but it doesn't look like it is being used yet, atleast not by cruise ships.

 

Will the Glory dock at Punta Langosta on your sailing? It's really difficult to say. You can check every other week on the link above and see what transpires but you probably won't know for sure until you actually arrive in Cozumel.

Thank you for the info, I will definitely keep the link handy. We docked at Puerat Maya just before the hurricane came through, lucky us. We have been to Punta Langosta pier on an earlier cruise tho and prefer that pier.
