How long after landing does it take at YVR?

Recommended Posts

We are trying figure out if we will have enough time to fit in two things the day we arrive.

We land at 1240 pm (pending no delay's in the US) on a Friday at YVR. So how long from the time we land, till we get our luggage, till we "might" arrive at the Pan Pacific?

Can you explain the time it takes for the customs process? Waiting for Limo? What about afternoon traffic in downtown Vancouver, is this a problem?

We want to do Stanley Park and The Capilano bridge, Aquarium closes at 7 pm, Bridge at 9 pm.

Is this do-able?or should we get up early Saturday and just board the ship later in the afternoon?

any advice appreciated!!:)

There is no definitive answer to your question. It depends on how many other foreign aircraft are landing at the same time; it could be 10 minutes or 2 hours. The same with traffic, usually it takes about 40 minutes to get from the airport to downtown Vancouver - but again all depends on traffic that day.

Plan that it will take you about 2 hours from plane to hotel anything less will be a bonus. You will be about 30 min to the bridge, you will want 1 1/2 hrs at the bridge and 30 to 45 mins back (rush hour). So that would give you the evening at Stanley Park which on a summer's evening you can do, but remember at a 1000 acres you will only see the surface of it. All of this will depend on your mode of transportation and you want to consider a car for the day. The next morning I would recomend a tour and here are 2 links; with your bags at the Pan Pacific, you could take either one but I might still lean towards the bus rather than the trolly.
