Salt water... the hot tubs are fresh water...

The pools are salt water and there are showers outside the pools to get the salt off.

Interestingly, toilets on Catalina Island are salt water. To conserve water, the island set-up a dual water system for this purpose. Apparently it's not unusual to have barnacles in a toilet!
