Hi my wife, daughter and 6 grand children will be in Grand Cayman on 08/13/08 on Carnival's Inspiration. They are booked on Carnival's Atlantis Sub tour (9:15 am till 10:45 am) Will they stay on ships time or Cayman time in port? If ships time I assume the tours from Carnival are on ships time also?? trying to see if enough time to take taxi to Turtle Farm (just farm part). When is last tender back to ship?

When we were on the Triumph, we were always on ship time (we sailed out of Miami). We sailed in the winter, so ship time and island time were the same. When we visited Cozumel, we were told to leave our watches on ship time and be mindful of the time (there was an hour difference in time).

If you don't get an answer here, you might try the Carnival board and see if someone who's been on the Inspiration will answer your question. This island time/ship time issue does vary within a cruise line from ship to ship sometimes. :)

The last tender for us was 45 minutes before the ship sails. I believe the last of the passengers from the tenders boarded around 3:50 or so and our ship left at 4:00.

We were in Grand Cayman on the Valor last week (Tuesday). Grand Cayman time is one hour behind ship's time; tours were on Grand Cayman time. I loved it...it meant I didn't have to get up so darn early, and could eat breakfast before I got off the ship to do our Stingray City tour! Our last tender was at 3:15 and the ship left at 4:00.
