Puerto Vallarta or Guatemala City

Recommended Posts

There are two cruises that we are interested in full transit Panama Canal. However, never having been to either Puerto Vallarta or Guatemala City I was wondering which one would be the better port to visit. If you have been to either one could you tell me your opinion on the port.

Thanks for your help.

I have only been to Puerto Vallarta. I loved it. I went to Krystal Resorts, had an awesome massage, spent most of the day their swimming -they let you use the resort for free for the day. Good Food, Good Drinks. Kids had a great time too.

Then A cab driver took me for a 2 hour tour of the city for $30.00

Guatemala City isn't on the coast. I'd guess it's about 3-4 hours drive away from the Pacific, and much further to the Golf of Honduras/Caribbean.

Puerto Vallarta is great, I've been there several times on land vacations. What time are you there till?
