Got my first glimpse of the QM2....

On Saturday while she was in port in Boston...What a beautiful site!

 

Can't wait to finally get to sail on her and see what she's like onboard!!!

I also saw the Queen Mary 2 - we were aboard the Norwegian Dream Sunday morning, having just returned from Bermuda. We were waiting in our stateroom to disembark and had the Bow-Cam channel on the TV. We saw a ship approaching to dock in front of us. I went up on deck, and saw that it was the QM2! A very nice surprise - what an impressive looking ship. Watched them launch a lifeboat from it while we were waiting on deck for our luggage color to be called.

That must've been quite a sight! We took a few pictures of her from a nearby bridge (about as close as we could get- which was still approx. 500 feet away), but what a beautiful looking ship. And her size was unbelievable too! There were quite a few people pulling over on the bridge and taking pictures....

Yes, a beautiful looking ship indeed. The Queen Mary 2 is a true ocean liner in every sense of the word. There is nothing else that can touch her.

I hope one day that you can do a transatlantic crossing on her to experience just what this ship is like. It's what she was built for and what she is best at. She can slice through the North Atlantic at it's worst with no problem.

Not long to go now! I just can't wait until October when we escort the QE2 both ways on it's final transatlantic crossing.

She is every bit as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. Make sure that you take the time to enjoy every lovely detail. You are so fortunate that you have that ahead of you.

I was onboard for the Boston visit. My first sail on the QM2 and I'm hooked. It's beautiful, elegant smooth and refined. The food and service were supurb. We had a Queen's grill suite and it was wonderful.

It was our first visit to Boston, and loved it.

 

When the Norwegian Dream was passing by I was on the balcony watching all the flashing from people taking pictures. I thought it was of me, but soon realized it was the ship :D :D :D

My first glimpse was when QM2 was on her inaugural call to NYC, the first (and likely last) time she berthed on the West Side Piers. Amazing how far out into the Hudson the stern stuck. Had Coast Guard and police boats astern of her round the clock to be sure the other river traffic didn't pull a "Malta Pier" on her!
