carly chloe Posted May 28, 2008 #1 Share Posted May 28, 2008 What is better? Going to the Reef Beach Club or going to somewhere like Buddy's and being by the beach? And how far away are those cenotes(?) that I heard about? Thanks.
hdawson Posted May 28, 2008 #2 Share Posted May 28, 2008 Carly. Just keep reading and checkout http://www.yucatantoday.com Lots of options and some that are somewhat unique to this port.
DukeFamily Posted May 29, 2008 #3 Share Posted May 29, 2008 Carly, please share if you find a vendor who does a tour to any of the cenotes. I am interested as well. Cozumel will be our beach-y, water-y, fun day, and I wanted to see the cenotes, which would also be water fun, but different water fun.....you know what I mean. :p We'll settle for the Reef Club, too, if we can't nail down a good tour that will show us the cenotes. So please, come back and post if you find out anything good! It will help others.....like me!
hdawson Posted May 29, 2008 #4 Share Posted May 29, 2008 There is a cenote at the DZ ruins, just 15 miles from Progreso. Many people have posted their experiences.

carly chloe Posted June 4, 2008 Author #10 Share Posted June 4, 2008 Would we have time to do the Reef Beach Club and come back and have a drink at Buddy's before getting on the boat? Is there alot of time to do the double decker before the buses leave for the Beach Club? Is it right there?
DukeFamily Posted June 4, 2008 #11 Share Posted June 4, 2008 Carly, Just from what I've read remember - no personal experience yet! - if you go to the Beach Club with AutoProgresso, you are at the Beach Club about three hours before you're brought back. With Ecstasy in port from 9-5, sounds like plenty of time afterwards to do the double decker tour and have a drink if it's close by. I think I read the double decker tour is short. Scroll around in this forum a little - it's talked about. You may find it can be done BEFORE you head off to the Reef Club. I'll be checking that out, too.
