vbmom87 Posted June 2, 2008 #1 Share Posted June 2, 2008 I was wondering if the gardens will be in bloom in mid-June? How long should we allow to walk through the Park garden areas? We will have a car. Should we plan on driving ourselves there, or would public transport be wiser?
Putterdude Posted June 3, 2008 #2 Share Posted June 3, 2008 Yes there will be flowers in bloom there in mid-June, Vancouver has a very mild climate so things start bloming in March/April. Allow yourself about 45 mins or so. On a clear day there are some great views of the city and the North Shore mountians; here is the parks website. http://www.city.vancouver.bc.ca/parks/parks/queenelizabeth/index.htm While up in that area you may also want to take in the VanDusen botanical gardens and is that website as well. http://www.city.vancouver.bc.ca/parks/parks/queenelizabeth/index.htm
