Rome to Athens?

Recommended Posts

I am just starting to plan a Med. cruise (our first), and my problem is the cruise I am looking at starts in Athens. I want to fly AA using reward miles, but from what I can see AA doesn't fly there. They do fly to Rome, so I am wondering if any experienced cruisers would know the easiest way to go? Thanks, Pat

I would check out the AA website and put in the destination you want and see what comes up. Usually the airlines have a partner they use to help you reach your final destination. For example, we plan to go to Barcelona using Air Canada points but Air Canada does not fly there so they will fly us to Frankfurt and put us on a Lufthansa flight to Barcelona with no additional points.

Flew to Athens last year with AA miles and returned from Rome. They partner with other Airlines - you must call because the flight is open jaw. Be sure to book early as the FF miles only cover a certain number of seats.
