Judith02 Posted October 11, 2004 #1 Share Posted October 11, 2004 We will be taking a Crystal cruise to Mexico (Caldera to Los Angeles) in February. Our ports include Ixtapa, Acapulco, and Cabo San Lucas. My husband enjoys playing golf in the various countries we visit. Can anyone recommend excellent golf courses (that may be open to cruise ship passengers or have reciprical agreements with US country clubs) in these ports. Thanks. HollyK Posted October 11, 2004 #2 Share Posted October 11, 2004 Judith, Below are the courses that Celebrity Mercury had as excursions for the ports you mentioned. I would imagine you'd have little trouble getting on without joining a tour to do so. As well, if you "Google" with search terms of 'Golf' plus the destination port, I'm sure you'll get a ton of info. Acapulco - Acapulco Princess Hotel (I believe they have two courses) Cabo - Cabo Del Sol Desert course (but there are lots of courses in Cabo) Ixtapa - Campo de Golf & Golf Marina HTH,
Judith02 Posted October 18, 2004 Author #3 Share Posted October 18, 2004 We've changed our Mexican Riviera cruise. Holly or anyone. Know anything about courses in Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, or San Diego? Thanks.
fish4ever Posted October 18, 2004 #4 Share Posted October 18, 2004 Hello everyone.. Here in Mazatlan we have 2 really popular golf courses to choose from. 1. El Cid Golf Course 2. Estrella Del Mar Golf Course ( http://www.estrelladelmar.com ) They are both really great courses, but the better of the two is the Estrella Del Mar course.. Hope this info helps you. Have a really great cruise. Gray (fish4ever)
