I requested an absentee ballot several weeks ago. :) Leaving on the Navigator 10/30.

I requested an absentee ballot also but have never done so before... Anyone know when to expect it, or does it vary from state to state?

It varies by municipality. My county clerk had mine out to me in 48 hours. This is the first time I've voted by absentee ballot and it's sort of a leap of faith that it will be counted.

After posting that I had sent my request for an absentee ballot and wanting some more info, I read online that I should have sent it no earlier than 50 days before the election and I think I sent it in August! So needless to say I've printed out another and will have it in the mail tomorrow.

 

Maria - I agree. It's a leap of faith that it will be counted and have any effect but at least I'll know I've done my duty. :)

We have our absentee ballots just have to fill them out and mail them. Maybe tonight if we are not packing or paying bills.

Already voted! Sailing Splendour of the Seas Oct. 23rd. Due back in the states Nov. 1st, but didn't want to take any chances!
