jennyvag Posted June 12, 2008 #1 Share Posted June 12, 2008 First time cruiser question ~ my DH and I would like to snorkel on our own when we arrive in George Town in July. Ideally, we'd like a beach where we could rent chairs, possibly have lunch and do an hour or two worth of snorkeling right off the beach with our own equipment. Which beach would be best for everything?
Jajone Posted June 13, 2008 #2 Share Posted June 13, 2008 Giving this a bump because that is exactly what we are looking for too. Anyone with suggestion??
cruisegal58 Posted June 14, 2008 #3 Share Posted June 14, 2008 ok, this is what i am always looking for as well..we have done the stingrays several times, this last time we took a bus to sea grape beach..it was pretty, but no snorkeling. cemetry beach b4 sea grape is supposed to be good, but no bathrooms, drinks..nothing...i understand smiths cove is good, but i do not know what is there. rum point take a rental car and quite a while to drive as the brits do..on the left side..yikes! eden rock beach is right off the ship, not much of a beach, but snorkeling is good, strong current when i was there..but i did enjoy it.
