mamajules Posted June 16, 2008 #1 Share Posted June 16, 2008 Read about this eco preserve on yucatantoday.com. It said its just 2 km outside Progresso and has a mangrove swamp you can take a boat ride in and walking paths. Has anyone taken a tour there, or know anything about it? Our group will be in Progesso on the Holiday and are planing to just wander around on our own, spend some time at the beach, but thought this sounded like a neat little side trip. Any info anyone has would be greatly appreciated.
YucatanToday Posted June 17, 2008 #2 Share Posted June 17, 2008 El Corchito is at the intersection of the coastal highway and the highway to Merida. You would want to take a taxi. There are plenty of taxis around, just walk south, (away from the Gulf), from the Casa de Cultura to the main square. The taxi stand is there.
