BoLTMaNv2 Posted June 17, 2008 #1 Share Posted June 17, 2008 Ok... Here's the scenario you make the final payment on your RCCL Visa on the due date (60 days prior to cruise) is there time to redeem those double points just earned to be used as OBC's for that very same cruise?? Has anyone successfully done this? How much time did you have to spare? If not what is the latest you can make the last payment to have time to do this? Recieve the double points... get certs... call in... and send in... receive OBC.
Retired LEO Posted June 17, 2008 #2 Share Posted June 17, 2008 Keep in mind that the points aren't credited until the end of the billing cycle. Depending on when that is you may have enough time.
debshomespun Posted June 17, 2008 #3 Share Posted June 17, 2008 Once you get your statement after you made your final payment, there will be enough time. What you need to do is call BOA to order your certificate, and MAKE SURE TO GET YOUR CERTIFICATE NUMBER from the agent, which is 15 numbers long. They will mail this to you. Then, after you hang up the phone, call RC C&A and tell them you want to apply your Visa certificate on your cruise that is less than 30 days from sailing, and they will take your certificate number, and you will have your credit applied in a couple days. Once you get the certificate in the mail about 10 days later, make copies, and mail it to RC. I always wait until the last minute to do it this way. Doing it this way, you can have the credit applied via phone, and it is much quicker, then just follow up with the mailings. I was told it can only be done this way if it is within 30 days of sailing. Hope this is understandable. If not, ask away! What they do is credit the amount of the certificate to the credit card which you used to make payment, or add the OBC to your account.

suezyq50 Posted June 17, 2008 #6 Share Posted June 17, 2008 I have always asked for the numbers and get it applied right away. I always make a copy before mailing just in case there might be a problem.

For the $ off, will RCCL just credit my credit card and leave my TA out of it?
MNfamilycruiser Posted September 8, 2008 #8 Share Posted September 8, 2008 I have always asked for the numbers and get it applied right away. I always make a copy before mailing just in case there might be a problem. I tried asking for the numbers on the certificate - more than 70 days out - and was told that they didn't have that information.
