Ferry Services between USVI and BVI

I haven't, but I question whether it would even be feasible to ferry to Virgin Gorda on a day trip. I think that Tortola is something like 45 minutes by ferry from Red Hook on St. Thomas. Wouldn't VG be at least anther 45 minutes or more? That would be an awfully long travel time. Add in having to go through Immigration at VG and then coming in back in to St. Thomas, and I can't imagine you'd actually have much time to do anything on VG. Tortola sounds more doable to me. Travel time would still be pretty significant, but wouldn't necessarily eat up the whole day.

Edit: Just for the heck of it, I checked the vinow website. I don't see how you could even make the ferry for VG. There are only a couple of times (that don't appear particularly great for cruise ship pax); they don't run every day; and the trip is 1-1/2 hours one-way. Tortola definitely looks more reasonable with more ferry options and much shorter travel time.
