Reduced savings and fuel surcharges

Recommended Posts

I returned from QM2 eastbound transatlantic last Saturdayand as usual arranged to book a future cruise to obtain the 'on board benefits'.

Bearing in mind that the UK 2009 brochure was only released in late April in the UK I was surprised that the 'sailaway' fares benefit had reduced from 45% discount to 41%..........the reason given was the success of the interest in QV for next year with re-bookings. Fair to say that for October 2009!!!! there were only 3 Q6 cabins available!!..........so I went ahead.

I received today the confirmation to which was added £45 for DW and myself for that cruise........which I know has been a feature for US passengers already...........but conveniently not mentioned by the on board booking team.

Ah well.............plenty of time to save up!!!
