Formal Evenings

In the middle of packing and I was wondering how formal are formal evenings on Princess (Diamond Princess) in Alaska. Are suits expected or are slacks and jacket acceptable?? Off tomorrow so any last minute guidance would be appreciated. Thanks

The crackdown (and expense) on checked baggage is changing the whole game plan. Jacket and slacks are fine.

I think all this will be completely changed by next season. I just flew out of LAX. The check in lines were very long and very slow. People were struggling with baggage issues. Some folks were just off cruises and were actually throwing away possessions and even suitcases rather than pay the baggage fees.

Allow plenty extra time for your airport check in and etc. Double plenty!

I was cruious to see how many people were unprepared for the new AA rules and fees. That really held up the lines.
