Tipping for Camp Carnival - What do you tip?

I am guessing that there are many counselors for Camp Carnival so how do you tip them all and what do you tip? On the Disney Magic, I gave a few phone cards out but even then I felt like I should have been passing them out to everyone. It is difficult to be discreet and tip these folks who work extremely hard. I can't exactly tip 20 counselors ( 6 yr old group and 4 yr old group) so what do you recommend?

When I went I gave $25.00 and the staff keeps all together and splits it between the staff at the end of the cruise.

Was the $25 tip for one child? I want to do the right thing especially if they keep my kids happy and safe.
