FO website

I know Fred Olsen is primarily a British cruise line but their website makes it hard for us Yanks. Let's see the price in US dollars. Also you can't book a cruise with airfare from the US. Any thoughts?

Just double the price in pounds. Thats it in dollars. Borton Overseas in Mn are the FO agents for you. Talk to them.

Book your own air. Normally cheaper.

Will most former colonials really enjoy the quintissentially British FO experience? Even though its provided by a Norwegian company? You sound like you might, go for it and Welcome!

The FO target market is not really the US, and you really don't want to pay their list prices, they are expensive.

I only cruise on the FO specials which come up from time to time which can be a good deal. However these would not be good for anyone having to also book transatlantic air tickets which would become quite expensive as a lastminute booking.

Suggest you contact Fred. Olsen by e-mail or telephone and they will be only too happy to give you all the information you need. As a very regular traveller on this line I almost always meet Americans on these cruises and they seem to enjoy the culture change very much indeed. This is especially the case on longer cruises where you get a much greater international mix and the Brits seem to be less xenophobic than on some other cruises. I hope you get all the information you need and enjoy a "British" cruise on a Norwegian-owned ship.
