buying wine in Anchorage

Thinking of buying wine for our cruise while in Anchorage. We're staying at the Hilton, downtown, wondering if there was a liquor store near by. I'm a little nervous trying this, is it really o.k.???

Thinking of buying wine for our cruise while in Anchorage. We're staying at the Hilton, downtown, wondering if there was a liquor store near by. I'm a little nervous trying this, is it really o.k.???

 

The closest liquor store is two blocks away from you, across from the Captain Cook on 5th avenue. I have brought wine on prior cruises and also plan on bringing wine on my 6/30 departure on the Coral. I've had no problem. While on the ship, I empty out the refrigerator that Princess has stocked and replace with my items. I just inform my cabin steward i'm not interested in purchasing what is in my refridge and they've been good about that.
