Scooter rentals in San Juan

We're in San Juan for an entire day 10a-11p on the Princess Cruise. It's our longest port stop & we noticed the cruise excursions on this leg were very limited & bland. Can one rent scooters @ the port & explore San Juan on their own? Is this something worth doing? Not quite sure what to do for an entire day there, we figured renting scooters might be a fun way to get around. Is this do-able?

I have not seen scooter rentals in Old San Juan...:confused:

Personally, I would not ride a scooter here.

SJ is a city, so there are lots of cars on the roads, in a hurry, going this way and that....... You can use it to get around in OSJ I guess, but sometimes there are traffic jams even in the Old City.

There is a scooter rental right across the street from Pier 4 (where you will dock).

 

If walking around (or taking the Trolley) in OSJ,visiting forts and museums, shopping etc doesn't appeal to you, maybe there is something else exciting we can find for you to do...
