Maggieshines Posted June 28, 2008 #1 Share Posted June 28, 2008 Hi, all.. Our Feb 1 sailing on Solstice will be our first with a balcony, and we're considering a sunset veranda cabin. Can someone tell me if cabins at the back of the ship experience considerably more noise than a midship cabin? Are aft balconies any more or less private than midship? Are they completely covered on top? I know no one has sailed Solstice yet, but can you answer these questions in general? My sweetie LOVES staring off the back rail at the wake, so I thought the aft cabin with balcony would be great, but if the noise -- either from engines or restaurants, etc. -- is going to be too much, I'll book a balcony cabin midship. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Karynanne Posted June 28, 2008 #3 Share Posted June 28, 2008 Usually the area in the Aft is very quiet. Less foot traffic in the hallways.
