renting watercrafts/floats

Hey again Libby-

It was VERY crowded last week and there were plenty of floats, paddle boats, fun cats and aqua trikes to rent.

I can't speak to sail boats, sea doos, etc. because I didn't check on those. But we could walk up at any time and there were plenty of the others to rent. I would pre-rent only of it is a cost savings. (I know pre-renting the floats = less $)

On the island, I think the 2 seater paddle boat was $8 for 30 minutes, the aqua trike was $15 for 30 minutes and the Fun Cat was $20 for 30 minutes. You read my blog, so you know I do not recommend the aqua trike--haha!

But--if you do pre-reserve your boat or floats or whatever before you go, then that's one less thing you have to worry about doing on the ship. The shore Excursion desk isn't always open, so you have to make time in your day to visit it and stand in line, in order to reserve things.

Why not just do it from the comfort of your home--with a few clicks of your mouse?

Although...last time my "book in advance to save time" plan backfired. In a stroke of luck, I won a snorkel/raft/tube package while at the Castaway Club party. Yahoo!

But, then I had to go wait in the MONSTER line at the Excursion desk to get a credit for my already-rented floats/tubes.

Oh well...We were glad we won anyway.
