cruise scientist Posted July 4, 2008 #1 Share Posted July 4, 2008 Where is the cruise port in Honolulu? Goggle doesn't come up with much!! Is there an easy drop off and pick up? How far from the airport? Do most major hotels have shuttles to the port. We are staying at the ILikai before our cruise next month. Thanks for any help. Sally Forth Posted July 4, 2008 #2 Share Posted July 4, 2008 It's about halfway between the airport and Waikiki. It's approximately where the Nimitz Highway and Ala Moana Blvd meet and look for the Aloha Tower on maps. There are shuttles that run from the airport to the cruiseport (or at least they did when we were there), but we found it easier to take a cab. cruzn single Posted July 4, 2008 #3 Share Posted July 4, 2008 Major hotels do not provide shuttles to anywhere. There are shuttles galore and taxicabs at the airport, the port, and all the major hotels, and you can get either a shuttle or taxicab outside any of them. adventuregrrl Posted July 5, 2008 #4 Share Posted July 5, 2008 I've been wondering about the cruise port location too. Here's what I found on the Web: http://www.hawaiicruiseguide.info/Articles/EmbarkingInHonolulu/index.html It looks like there are actually two piers. One is by shops, resturants and entertainment. The other one, about a half mile down the road is pretty much nothing. Either you are hopping on a shuttle, cab or bus, or staying on the boat. When we were there last Christmas Eve on the Diamond Princess we were tied up at the terminal by the Aloha Tower and the NCL ship was tied up at the one you refer to. SBJB8184 Posted July 6, 2008 #7 Share Posted July 6, 2008 If you are cruising NCL next month, then you should have your eDocs. These eDocs list the street address of the NCL port. If you booked your hotel thru NCL, then one of the perks of that booking is the transfer from your hotel to the pier is included in the price of the hotel. Tom/Nancy Posted July 13, 2008 #8 Share Posted July 13, 2008 6/28/08 - we used address of "100 Channel Street" in our GPS. Took us directly to security gate at Pier 2.
