CaribbeanSun53163 Posted July 6, 2008 #1 Share Posted July 6, 2008 Hello Everyone, Due to a death in my family, I couldn't go on the May 31 Bermuda cruise. I plan to go next year in 2009 or 2010. But that's not why I am posting. The reason I am posting is a question. I heard from here that the Explorer Of The Seas is going to dry dock in January 2009, but was reading on the Royal Caribbean's website that is has cruises January 2nd, 11th, and 23 leaving Bayonne's Cape Liberty Cruise Port. What does RC plan to do? Bring in another ship Voyager Class Ship to cover those 3 dates while Explorer of the Seas is in drydock? Let me know. I am anxious about what you all say. If that is the case with bringing another ship in, I plan to be down there with my video camera and tape it leaving. It will be a cool experience to see a new ship my town's port. Hope to hear from you all soon. Your friend in cruising, Nick
Sue L Posted July 6, 2008 #2 Share Posted July 6, 2008 If they are showing those dates for sailings then your info of Explorer going into drydock are incorrect. They don't have "spare" ships to substitute for others.
Canadian_Commodore Posted July 7, 2008 #3 Share Posted July 7, 2008 I would agree with Sue, that the information you received was rumor. Sailings on Explorer in are still available for both January and February. A couple of the Feb 09 are just about completely booked depending on the dates.
