campincruiser Posted July 7, 2008 #1 Share Posted July 7, 2008 Hi, I would love to buy my son a kilt when we are on our cruise. Our port calls are in Quebec City, Halifax and PEI. Any suggestions on where to purchase a reasonably priced kilt? Thanks
jerin Posted July 7, 2008 #2 Share Posted July 7, 2008 In Halifax, there's a store called The Plaid Place http://www.plaidplace.com/our-products/ It's not a long walk from the pier to their main store, and they also had a smaller shop in Pier 22, where one of the ships tied up (Carnival Victory -- We were on Grandeur of the Seas, which pulled in just forward, a bit closer to town.) The price was very reasonable -- under $300 for kilt, socks, flashes. He points out that this picture was taken after dinner and had slipped down a bit. Sally Forth Posted July 8, 2008 #4 Share Posted July 8, 2008 I second the vote for Halifax. I bought my nieces wonderful kilt sets near the pier. Viv
