No more Carnival Med cruises???

Hi,

I've been on a couple of Royal Caribbean cruises. I have never been on Carnival before but was looking forward to a Mediterranean cruise in the summer of 2009. The Carnival itineraries were my favourite and I was going to book, but there are no more Carnival cruises in the Med. Does anyone know why Carnival has pulled out of the Med?

Liberty and Dream are in the Med in 2009, at least in October. Just trying to decide which one right now.

Sorry aandb, I see what you mean. The Liberty is doing Northern Europe in July and August and the Dream doesn't sail until Sept. We had only been looking at October since really wanted to avoid the summer months in the Med.
